TOKYO, JAPAN – In a tactical and hard-fought battle at Korakuen Hall, Japan’s Takeshi Ishii successfully defended his OPBF Minimumweight Title against our very own Jake “El Bambino” Amparo.

The fight went the full distance, with Amparo showing heart, skill, and courage against the relentless pressure of the champion. While Amparo landed clean shots and stood toe-to-toe in explosive exchanges, it was Ishii’s consistency and aggression that earned him the judges’ unanimous nod.

Though the belt stays in Japan, Amparo’s fearless performance proved once again that Boholano warriors fight with pride and spirit. This is only a step back on the road to greater opportunities.

Respect to both warriors for giving the fans a true championship fight.
