Stella Maris translates to: Star of the Sea

The Stella Maris is made by Lilith from traditional Filipiniana, it is inspired by the Manila Carnival Queens.

We wanted to share this because of how informational it is. We believe our history and culture is beautiful and when we learn to do our own little research we have much to gain.

We loved that while the organizers were going around to look for the most Illustrious of the night, they chanced upon Lilith. When asked about their outfit, they immediately lit up and started talking about the little details and what inspired it. Did you know? They also had a friend with them that they had made an outfit for, and they named it “Luzon Bleeding Heart”.

One thing we have loved in our events, is how Nerds and Geeks are able to express themselves, share their knowledge and most of all be seen. Even if it is not us who see them, the attendees see each other, interact and compliment each other.

So here’s a huzzah! To Lilith!

It has officially been two weeks since the Aurora Ball concluded, and we are still delighted to see your photos and videos flooding our Instagram and TikTok feeds.

Once again, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our sponsors, media partners, buskers, merchants, and our wonderful hosts for helping bring this event to life.

We are also proud to share that the Aurora Ball was created with an ethical and conscious approach to production. We intentionally partnered with small local shops and businesses, and we hope that by showcasing them here, you may be encouraged to support their work as well.

Our corsages and dining table centerpieces were crafted by Accents & Petals! who reclaim wooden pallets to create everlasting flowers for every occasion.

Our boutonnieres were inspired by the “Royal Family Orders” worn by royalty during special occasions. These featured a painted portrait of our founder, and the ribbon was produced by Yuki Inoue Clothier.

Our Illustrious sashes took inspiration from the Miss Universe sash design and were produced by PatchLab Baguio. Meanwhile, our Staff sashes were styled after traditional royal sashes and were created by Clariz Ronquillo.

We would also like to highlight our Aurora Ball merchandise, inspired by journaling and paper goods. The layout was beautifully done by .cos and the prints were produced with great care and quality by .

Of course, our talented artists for this event were:dra who made our logo, poster and backgrounds!
who also made some of our assets!
and who did Florence and our dancing characters.

The event was produced by our organizer and founder, Chairein, who would also like to extend her deepest gratitude to the following:

𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒚 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒚 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌𝒔𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒕

Thank you to everyone who joined Aurora Ball. With each event, we try our best to make a difference. Not only making dreams come true in events but little by little in real lives.

Our sponsors may already know this, but we would like to share our advocacies with you. Ever since RFPH 1 we have been donating to Hands of God Charity Works (Baguio-Benguet chapter) which is a support group for orphans, and special needs children. Another is Furvent Animal Rescue which is an NGO dedicated to strays and animals. Though, our efforts are currently small, we are happy.

We are happy because… Have you ever, when you were with your friends ever said “If I am just rich, I will start and orphanage or an animal sanctuary”. Well, thats us too! And together, while we are enjoying magical events, we made life a bit more magical through our efforts. Every small step makes a difference for these lives.

So, if you can and are able, we would like to encourage you also to donate where you can. Look for NGOs around you and support them when you can.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Thank you, dreamers for dreaming with us. Thank you for believing in our events. And most of all, we would also like to thank our staff who’s efforts are mostly volunteers and work our events from pre-event, on the day and post event.

We sent HOGCW and Furvent Animal Rescue 10k each.

Once again, thank you dreamers. RFPH events are non-profit volunteer driven events. We organize because we want to make our event dreams come true, we organize because it is our passion. So, we hope you keep supporting us by joining our events and sharing them. Till the next event dreamers!
