“Ormoc CPS3 Arrests Two (2) Drug Peddlers in Buy-Bust Operation”

LILOAN, ORMOC CITY- The Ormoc City Police Station 3, under the leadership of PMAJ OMAR ROEL B CARTALLA, Station Commander (lead unit), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 8 (PDEA) successfully conducted a buy-bust operation resulting in the apprehension of two (2) Street Level Individuals in relation to SACLEO at Brgy. RM Tan, Ormoc City, on May 6, 2025.

The suspect, known by the aliases “Toper,” is a 31-year-old, fish vendor, resident of Tzu Chi Village, Brgy. Liloan, Ormoc City, and “Ebo,” an 18-year-old, construction worker and a resident of Tzu Chi Village, Brgy. Liloan, Ormoc City and both listed as Street Level Individuals.

Confiscated from Toper’s possession and control were a small one (1) piece heat-sealed transparent plastic straw, three (3) pcs heat sealed transparent plastic straw, containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, one (1) Five Hundred Peso bill as buy-bust money and one (1) small transparent plastic box container while from Ebo’s possession and control were four (4) pcs heat sealed transparent plastic straw, one (1) pc medium size self-sealing plastic container and one (1) pc small size plastic container.

Upon apprehension, the suspects were duly informed of the reason for their arrest and their constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language they understood. Subsequently, the said suspects were taken to OCPS3 for documentation and proper processing before being transferred to the court of origin.

"We are committed to upholding the law and ensuring that justice is served in Ormoc City. The successful apprehension of the wanted person reflects our dedication to maintaining peace and order in our community. We will continue to work diligently with our partner agencies to ensure that those who violate the law are held accountable for their actions," PMAJ CARTALLA stated.

IN TACLOBAN CITY - A FIRE broke in one of the buildings fronting Robinson's at Barangay Marasbaras about 3:00AM, May 07, 2025.

The blaze totally destroyed the upper part of the building occupied by a private agency.

The ground floor of the building is occupied by a bank and other commercial establishments.
