First Talent Contest Hosted

It's my first time to host a talent competition and it was fun. I felt privileged to have witnessed up-close the amazing performances of the participants. I even met some of my former classmates and students at the venue. Back in the day, I used to join and win in a singing contest. Now I won't dare to perform or sing in front of the big audience again. I am content with being an emcee.

It's an in-person rite at last!

After two years of being hampered by the COVID-19 pandemic, we finally got the permission to hold a face-to-face ceremony for Recognition Day where I was assigned to be the emcee. We can't really be 100% prepared. No matter how much we practiced to familiarize our lines, we still dealt with unexpected moments so we had to utter extemporaneous comments.

Presented my PBB-inspired hosting! 🤩

I got the idea from their family names, Pamilya Boncodin-Borromeo and the debutant herself is a fan of Pinoy Big Brother Housemates so it wasn't that hard to conceptualize and personalize my script and the flow of the program. It was Jeneah's 18th birthday celebration. She's the younger sister of my colleague so I offered my talent as a gift. It's really good to have a friend who believes in what you can do. It was undoubtedly a blast.

Kicking at Pei Ching!

The COVID-19 pandemic really challenged our resilience and flexibility as teachers, but we managed to carry out the school year by adapting to changes in the education system. Since we adapted the Online and Modular Learning Modality, we also conducted a Virtual Graduation Ceremony where I served as one of the hosts. Obviously, it was my most comfortable hosting experience. 😌

Hosted two birthday parties in one day!

It was Joseph Ken's 7th birthday celebration in the afternoon and his sister, Justine Karylle's 18th birthday post celebration in the evening! Thankfully, I was able to pull off both the programs well even if I only had a few minutes to rest. I guess it was the most heartwarming hosting I've had as I was touched by the exchange of heartfelt messages between the family members. 🥹
