𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪?

The term "Maundy" is derived from the Latin word "mandatum," meaning commandment, referring to Jesus' commandment to his disciples to love one another as He has loved them (John 13:34).

𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿: Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper, the final meal Jesus shared with his disciples before his crucifixion, where He instituted the sacrament of Holy Communion.

𝗪𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝘁: One of the significant events of Maundy Thursday is the ritual of foot washing, symbolizing Jesus' act of humility and service towards his disciples recorded in John 13:1-17.
