This week, even before the week started, I felt the Lord reminding me about my tongue, to tame it, to be mindful of my words, and to control my emotions.
Then as the week started, I found myself reminding one of my officemates to also be careful with her words.
Little did I know, the very next day, I would be tested on the same thing I was reminding someone else about.
I said something that, honestly,, wasn't even a harsh word. But my tone didn't reflect the love of Christ.
And immediately, I felt the Lord correcting me.
That moment hit me so hard.
Sometimes, we wonder why God keeps reminding us about something before we even encounter a situation. Why He keeps putting a certain lesson in our hearts. Why He asks us to be careful, to wait, to control our emotions, to guard our words.
Before we walk into a new day, a new week, or even a situation in our future,
His warnings aren't meant to restrict us.
His correction isn't meant to condemn us.
His disciple isn't proof that He has abandoned us.
Sometimes, God warns us because He knows our words can hurt someone. He knows our emotions can make us act in ways we will regret. He knows the version of us that we're still learning to surrender.
And yes,
Especially when God makes you realize, "๐๐๐ข ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก ๐๐๐ ๐กโ๐ ๐ฃ๐๐๐ฆ ๐กโ๐๐๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ข ๐ค๐๐๐ ๐ค๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐ข๐ก."
But that's the beauty of walking with Christ.
We are not being called to be perfect overnight.
We are being called to become more like Him.
So maybe that difficult moment wasn't just a difficult moment.
Maybe it was a
Maybe the warning came first because God was already preparing us for what was ahead.
And maybe that "Ah, kaya pala" moment is God's gentle reminder:
All we need to do is to trust Him even when we don't understand
Cause sometimes, the answer comes later.
