In 2008, Caterplan also known as K8er started from the family's inherent love to celebrate every occasion, from birthdays to graduations and Christmas gatherings, with delicious food each family member meticulously prepared. The festivity begins from the preparation stage where the kitchen is filled with merriment.

The influence of their mother Salvacion F. Jose who is a licensed Nutritionist-Dietitian, and a Food Drug Regulation Officer II of the Bureau of Food and Drug followed by a Food Technologist sibling graduate from the University of the Philippines Diliman, Zierlynn J. Mallillin and inspired by the support of family and friends encouraged the Business Management - Accountant couple Mr. Milo J. Sarmiento and Mrs. Josallyn Jose-Sarmiento to turn their passion into profession. Being a family of 8, with 6 children, gave

birth to K8er Catering.
