Kabayan, in Filipino culture, Pancit is never an afterthought, a side dish, or a menu extender—it is a centerpiece, a specialty, and a main event.
In San Juan, Batangas, this culinary reverence runs
exceptionally deep, defined by a distinct local taste and an expert mastery over every noodle variety. Whether it is hearty canton, delicate bihon, silky sotanghon, or our local pride—the thick, savory, sweet-spicy chami noodles—every dish is crafted with purpose.
While every town across the Philippines boasts its own style and standard, none can copy the original flavor born right here.
Kabayan, tuloy po kayo sa Dampa ni Ka Genia and you step into a living legacy. Our story traces back to the 1950s, when Ka Genia’s cooking was hailed as the most famous and absolute best pancit in San Juan. It all began at Dampa Natin Restaurant—the true, original home of San Juan pancit, and the town's very first restaurant, which proudly stood right where Jollibee is located today.
Decades later, the children of San Juan still know this taste best. We continue to honor our long history, proudly serving the original, closely-guarded family recipe that started it all. We don't just cook noodles; we serve San Juan's heritage on a plate.
Welcome to Dampa ni Ka Genia—where tradition is served fresh, and the original taste lives on. We cater, we deliver, and we serve. Contact us through our page for your booking or other inquiries.
