🙏 following Christ in a highly competitive environment

A Little Sewing, A Lot of Memories 🧵✨

Skye and I tried something completely new together—a Mommy & Me sewing workshop!

Neither of us had any sewing experience, but with Teacher May's patient guidance, we learned how to use a sewing machine, worked with fabric, and created our very first handmade plushie.

What I loved most wasn't the plushie we brought home—it was watching Skye gain confidence with every step.

New skill unlocked. New memory made. ❤️

Special thanks to Sewpreneur Academy and The Happy Station for such a wonderful experience.

From Brutal to Grace | Shanda Stories Unedited w/ Dr. Joel Navarro

Due to popular demand, I'm releasing the unedited version of my interview with Dr. Joel Navarro.

He shares honestly about:
✨ his early harsh leadership style
✨ being diagnosed with bipolar
✨ how therapy changed his approach
✨ worship as participation, not performance
✨ embracing imperfection in music and ministry

A powerful reminder that growth is possible — and grace matters.

💬 What part of this conversation spoke to you most?

Skye is all grown up and now she has her own nighttime routine. 😭

以前是我帮她洗脸,
现在是她教我们怎么洗脸。 😂

(Back then, I washed her face.
Now she's teaching us how to wash ours.)

One of those little parenting moments that sneaks up on you. 🤍✨

Thank you Lumee Kids for sending over such a fun package ✨ The excitement was VERY real in this house today 💛

And yes… the next 2 videos are basically just Skye fully enjoying the products already 😂

When Your Environment Stops Carrying Your Faith | Shanda Stories Unedited w/ Zachary Villacruz

By request, here is the full, uncut conversation with Zachary Villacruz.

In this episode of Shanda Stories, we talk about what happens when you step out of a familiar, faith-filled environment—and into a world where nothing is automatic anymore.

Zach shares his journey from growing up in a deeply Christian community to studying abroad, where he had to rethink habits, beliefs, and daily choices for himself.

We talk about:
🌏 leaving a “Christian bubble” and encountering new cultures
🤔 when faith is no longer carried by your environment
📖 choosing what you believe—and why
⛪ finding community in unfamiliar places
💡 and how maturity grows when everything becomes intentional

This is a longer, more reflective conversation for those who wanted the full story—honest, thoughtful, and deeply personal.

More than anything, this episode asks a quiet but important question:

Is your faith something you inherited… or something you’ve chosen?
