Jesus addressed those who spoke of the Galileans killed by Pilate, asking if they were worse sinners than others. He said no, but warned that unless they repented, they too would perish. He mentioned eighteen people killed when a tower fell in Siloam, reinforcing the need for repentance.
He then shared a parable: A man had a barren fig tree and wanted to cut it down. The gardener pleaded for one more year to care for it, saying, "If it bears fruit, good; if not, then cut it down."
