As a married couple for almost 10 years, we thought that we were living our lives as any normal couple would do. We would go with the flow day by day and deal with what life had to offer us. We lived each day as if it was just a normal routine, with the purpose of raising our kids and providing financial security for them.
That was until a fateful day in February 2023 when we were introduced to our Lord Jesus Christ. We were invited to attend a CCF Sunday service. We are truly blessed because He used people who are close to us as instruments to reveal what our purpose is and what His real plan is for us. That is where we experienced real transformation and true life, which is anchored in our Lord and Savior as the center of our family life.
When we were invited to join the Grow in Love Retreat, we were quite hesitant at first due to financial issues. But we prayed for it, and by His grace, He answered through a generous couple who sponsored the event.
During that retreat, from day one, the topics already hit us—and it did not end there. Up to day three, there were realizations about our lives as individuals, our marriage, our family, our roles as husband and wife, and as parents.
Because of this retreat, we are truly blessed by this opportunity. Now, we are walking by faith, and our marriage has a solid foundation in Christ. We understand each other a little better and rekindled the fire in our relationship, being sensitive to each other’s needs. And for the first time in almost a decade, we felt a deeper connection with each other. We can say that the retreat saved our marriage, especially now that we have Christ as the center of everything we do as a couple and parents.
We are blessed to have had this experience and to be journeying with our Lord and Savior together as one—and we will continue to share His words and beautiful promises with other couples.
