Guillan and Mai
“It doesn't matter how long you've been together, it’s about how much you love each other.”
Five years ago, in a month of May, Guillan and Mai met in Abu Dhabi, thru his cousin's spouse who was her officemate. If you had each other smiling since day one, never let go. And in November of that same year, they had their civil wedding. They were blessed with a 4-year old adorable son, named Jarred. Mai's dream is to walk down the aisle of a church, and Guillan knows how to make her lovely wife happy. Her dream came true as they were pronounced husband and wife, for the second time, last May 16, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. He was so sweet that he even sang “Pangako Ko”, his special song for Mai, during their exchange of vows.
Beautiful, sunny weather greeted them on their big day. The lunch reception followed at Tagaytay Ridge, an indoor and garden venue with a picturesque view of Taal lake and volcano. The heritage building and the breathtaking scenery of Tagaytay won the hearts of their guests immediately. They had fun taking photos with the magnificent panorama as their background. Town’s Delight - The Caterer made an elegant setup, round tables were arranged around the room enhanced with apple green linen, orange and yellow flowers and green paper rosettes as decorations that gives a summery feeling. Presidential table covered with white linen, beautified by tall vases with green buttons and orange roses and gerbera. Crystal chairs with silver lame bought accent, DIY tin cans with asters and orange tassel garlands. There were also two parent’s tables to give honor to the most special people in the newlyweds lives. The couple’s backdrop is a white shabby chic style wall panel and two white tall vases on each side with asters, orange flowers, twigs and heart cutouts. Table numbers were labeled with virtues, “Honest”, “Trust” and “Humility” that Town’s Delight promotes.
The program starts with the entrance of the entourage dancing to “Gentleman” and the couple was welcomed with a sword parade. Their first dance was a romantic song, “Beautiful In My Eyes”, with a little bit of “Move Like Jagger” and “Harlem Shake” together with their bridal entourage. The dance was fun and showcased the talent of the bride, the groom was nervous at first, but still made a great performance. Mai is wearing a chic mermaid style wedding gown by Ener Maningat Couture, and was complemented by Guillan’s white tuxedo and apple green polo and tie. Their cute son wears the same wardrobe like his dad.
Guests were treated with a sumptuous lunch by Town’s Delight - The Caterer. For appetizers, they shared plates of Oriental Pork Siomai in Chili Garlic Paste and Crispy Nachos with Mexican Salsa and Cheese Dip. They also had a Salad Bar, Hearty Broccoli Cheese Soup and Twiced Baked Potato with Sour Cream, Chives and Cheddar Cheese. For their entrees, there are mouthwatering selections, Beef Tenderloin Steak in Pepper Wine Sauce, Grilled Fish Fillet Grenoblaise, Grilled Pork Spareribs, Chicken Cecilia with Cheesy Hotdog and Quail Egg, Schezuan Veggies with Cashew and Baked Meaty Macaroni Topped with Bechamel Sauce and Cheese. Assorted Pastries and Belgian Chocolate Fondue were available for desserts. The couple wants their guests to really enjoy their meals, they also provided an ice cream cart and lechon. While having lunch, their closest friends, family and parents gave heartwarming and emotional messages.
Guillan and Mai were very generous that they gave baskets of fresh fruits with a bottle of wine and a Burj Al Arab crystal glass figurines to their principal sponsors. They also have cellphones as raffle prizes and a photo booth for guests to take souvenirs pictures from the event.
