An event host and organizer, an entrepreneur, an artist in her own right and a mother of four kids to boot, Lucette Dela Rosa is one of the industry’s most outstanding women and a wonderful inspiration besides. From the age of thirteen, Lucette has already had her thumb in the pie of the hosting industry as a vivacious young lady, using her youth as a resource, turning it into an asset instead of a deterrent, and bringing a fresh, new spin on event hosting back in the day. (To the present, Lucette is still the liveliest and just as energetic as she was during her teens, her spark still burning just as bright, if not even brighter!) She started off small, with local pageants and NGO events. As things tend to do over time, her little sideline expanded, covering larger, and more varied events and as her experience grew, so did her passion. Hosting ran in the family, and it was her younger sister, Colleen Mateo of 91.5 Win Radio Manila, who pushed and inspired her to turn her enthusiasm for it into a line of work. To paraphrase the words of DJ Mama Colleen to her Ate Lucette, the voice of a host is a talent, and, as all talents are wont to be, should be duly paid. Unknowingly, this was the beginning of a story of success. In 2006, Lucette made the decision transition from a one-woman army as an event host to setting up shop and opening up LDR Events Solutions. What brought on the big decision? It was when she witnessed the difference a coordinator could make in an event, and how one could make or break someone’s most special day. A good host, a skilled coordinator, an event organizer was the lynchpin, the backbone of an event, someone who could fill in what was missing from the whole picture. Sixteen years later finds LDR Events Solutions and its managing director as a triumphant venture. Covering events from children’s parties and debuts to weddings and corporate events, the name LDR is now known all over Rizal as the top Event Coordinator and a pioneer in shaping the industry in the province. A business is only as good as the team behind it, and LDR Events Solutions has come a long way since its humble beginnings. A woman of charitable heart, Ms. Dela Rosa first opened employment opportunities under LDR to college students with financial needs. Now, the LDR family has grown to a large one comprised of people from all walks of life, just as dedicated and passionate as Lucette herself. As a continuance of her desire to help, she has also begun the Free Events Management Workshop, as a way to boost the industry and share her expertise. Lucette is also voted as the President of the Rizal Event Suppliers Association. Through this, Lucette has mentored many of the most promising events businesses here in Rizal, already creating a legacy of her work. Lucette and LDR’s clientele speaks volumes for the excellence of their service and skill at their work. Joseph Bitangcol, the Prince of TV5, and renowned Philippines badminton player Kennevic Asuncion both entrusted the hosting and coordination of their weddings with Lucette Dela Rosa, pulling them off with massive success. Silverworks and Ocampo Jewellery also add themselves to the ranks of Lucette’s clientele, further cementing her capability in her chosen field. NC-III Certified in Events Management, Lucette and LDR has proven time after time that they are capable of handling their work with excellence. To date, they have coordinated events with crowds numbering up to 2500 people— Atomy Philippines’ event held at SMX— and pulling off as many as three events per day. She has also organized the Rizal Bridal Fairs for three years in the running and other related events in coordination with SM Supermalls, held over the years at SM City Taytay, SM East Ortigas, SM Marikina and SM Angono. On the virtual side, she has also hosted for and on Youtube Philippines, announcing mall tours and visitations for celebrities all over the nation. Recognition of her excellence comes with her televised features on both Rated K and the Lifestyle Channel, and being a product endorser and commercial model for Pynocare and MX3, and is the recipient of various awards such as the Seal of Quality Service from National Product Quality Excellence Awards of Q Asia, the Philippine Social Media Star Achiever Award and being designated as the official Event Planner for the Philippine School of Interior Design and Xavier School.
