The auction is now officially closed, also, the grace period for eligible bidders will now begin.

1 hour left before the bidding will close. Please be reminded of the rules about 'Auction Sniping' to avoid inconvenience, especially for eligible bidders who still want to outbid the current highest bidders. Also, those who haven't bid yet may still bid until 11:59 PM.

Mechanics for bidding:

1. The UPMC Date Auction is open for all UP Diliman students and alumni.

2. The UPMC Date Auction runs from January 12 to January 27, 2013.

3. There are two types of bidding, the regular Facebook bidding in which the bidding will be done in Facebook. The bidder will simply comment his/her bid on the photo of his/her desire date. The second one is the Anonymous bidding in which the anonymous bidder will bid through text. He/she will send a text message to one of the organizers of the said event.
Format: DATE NAME[space]BID AMOUNT[space]NAME with COURSE[space],
and send it to: 09157689268 for Globe / 09391696969 for Smart.-
After sending the text message, it will be then ‘processed.’
The organizers will then post the bid that the anonymous one had sent.

4. Bidding starts at 200PHP with increments of 20php after the first bid (no bid cap).

5. To avoid ‘Auction Sniping’-bidding on the last minute to win the auction, only those who have placed bids before 11:59 pm of January 27, 2013 are considered “Eligible Bidders:”
a.) Highest bidders before 11:59 pm of January 27, 2013 will be considered the “Unofficial Winners.” Another 30 minutes will be allotted for other Eligible Bidders to outbid the Unofficial Winner
b.) Every time an “Eligible Bidder” placed a higher bid, another 30 minutes will be allotted until no new bids are made after the last 30-minute grace period.

6. The highest individual bidder out of all those who bid throughout the course of the event will be rewarded by a sponsored date by the UPMC.

7. After the bidding the process, the winner will be required to confirm his/her bid. Failure to do so will forfeit the winner and the second highest bidder will be considered the winner.

8. All payments must be made between January 28 and February 1, 2013.

9. All payments for the auction shall be paid in cash.

Rules for the date:
1. The date is responsible for contacting the highest bidder.
2. NEITHER party is expected to pay for the other.
3. Group dates are possible to avoid “awkward moments.”
4. Dates Galore starts from February 2, 2013 onwards.
5. Although it’s preferable that dates will take place within the UP Diliman campus for safety purposes, it’ still the discretion of the highest bidder and the date when and where the date will take place.
