We hear this from time to time when discussing with couples:

1) Kahit sino, pwede na… magsasalita lang naman.

2) Yung friend ko na magaling mag English, pwede na.

3) Sumasayaw at kumakanta yun, ok na emcee yun.

4) Ikaw na mag emcee, tutal kilala mo kami. (While talking to a friend or family member)

5) Free naman doon sa package, ok na yan.

May mali dahil:

1) ang emcee in charge siya ng KALAHATI ng buong wedding experience ng guests — kailangan kahit papano match ang emcee sa expectations ng guests. Parang perya ba ang gusto? Mas classy ba ang gusto? Kayo, bilang couple, pag look back niyo 10 years from now, happy pa rin ba kayo sa program? Or will you cringe? Kasi you didn’t spend time planning tapos kung ano anong hindi maganda ang nangyari.

2) not everything works according to plan on the wedding day — so you need an emcee who can adjust and make things happen despite difficulties

3) a professional will be able to see the bigger picture — balance what you want and what is needed by other suppliers as well as common expectations of guests
