It has been such a long time since I’ve been looking for a Marian image for our home, but I have never found an image that appeals to me.

Today, on her birthday, she has shown herself to me at the cathedral of good shepherd, amidst the many beautiful and expensive images on the shelf. This elegant yet inexpensive yellow handmaid of the lord image stood out, and I know it’s meant for us.

His timing is always perfect 🤩

I was having a really bad day today, first I received a not so good news, second dapat punta ako sa office but then something was wrong with my 🚙 so I stayed home. Few mins after ko mainis, I sat at the table still ranting and then nag ring ang doorbell. I was in a bad mood and was asking my family members in an irritated tone ”may delivery ba kayo?”. When I went out to check, a smiling face was at our gate, I was asking kung “ano yun”, nakangiti lang siya na parang nahihiya, and asked for me, sabi ko “ako yun”, and then she just said “may padala po inaanak niyo sa ***”.
In my mind, niloloko ako nito kasi wala na naman ako inaanak sa ***, made me think of my 2 inaanak sa kasal na pareho na wala sa ***.
I opened the gate and she was carrying a bag of goodies and then nagmamadali lang siya ibigay sa akin yung bag. I said my thanks and was asking kung sino nagpadala or siya ba gumawa dahil obvious sa box what it contain and she just smiled and ran back to a car na naka waiting at a house away from ours.
I went inside and immediately checked my phone for messages pero wala. Then I remembered someone sa *** calling me “ninang” and messaged him, voila siya nga! He sent a photo of me receiving the goodies from his wife 😂.

Sobrang naaliw lang ako sa timing, I am sure the sender did not know I was having a bad day. Thank you Lord for sending your angels on days like these, this definitely made my Friyay 🙂 Happy Weekend everyone!

p.s. dahil bad mood ako I was contemplating on ordering my fave cake online, it turns out the cake in the box was very similar to the one I wanted to order, o di ba!

You are what you eat

Eat what’s good so you will continue to be in good condition.

Another thing I enjoy in my daily activities is cooking for my family, no rigid planned meals, I always stick to the basic when doing my groceries and come up with pleasantly creative set at meal time. It makes prep time exciting for me, cook what’s in your pantry and garden.

I enjoy cooking 🧑‍🍳 for my happy bunch. And each time I do, I pray that the food I prepared will bring joy, healing and good health.

Crumpled

Sometimes we feel like all beautiful things are lost when we allow ourselves to feel crumpled and useless, but even in a state where the world look at us as ugly and without appeal the Lord only knows our beauty.

This year may we always remember that we are children of God, no amount of words and beauty can surpass such truth. We may sin, we may stumble, we may feel anxious and weary but each time we sink into those negative narratives we should always remember that God sees in us all our beauty.

He has a plan for each of us, we need to always be connected to him so we can hear his voice and we can follow his leading.

So if you feel down today, rise up, roll your mat, walk, move make an effort to get even an inch closer to him that is your goal and be joyful knowing you have God as your father and he has your back.
