I. Rationale:
In line with the celebration of the annual Tourism Month, the sixth edition of โ๐รจ๐๐รจ๐: A showdown of Puerto Princesaโs local fashion designersโ is presented by the City Government of Puerto Princesa City, through the City Tourism Department:
1. Encourage local professional and emerging fashion designers to create contemporary and practical designs for clothes that can be used for specific occasions.
2. Promote Puerto Princesa and Philippine culture through fashion
3. Promote environmental protection and sustainability through fashion
4. Nurture creativity and natural aptitude for fashion design while providing opportunities for exposure for the designers and their work, especially the young and emerging ones.
5. To help professionalize the fashion design industry in the city.
II. General Guidelines:
1. The competition is open to all residents of Puerto Princesa. The contestant must register online. 2. Only the first six (6) individuals who will register online will become the official contestants.
3. This year, Bedbed will highlight the 2025 Tourism Month celebration theme, โTourism and Sustainable Transformationโ. Contestants must produce the following projects:
A. FASHION RETRO: An appropriate corporate collection of three attires celebrating the vibrant โpower dressingโ fashion of the 1970s, incorporating new fabrics with preloved clothes.
B. SUSTAINABLE FASHION: Streetwear collection of three attires, utilizing katsa and preloved clothes. There should be at least one male model.
C. UNCONVENTIONAL MATERIAL CHALLENGE: Avant-garde Filipiniana creation using new or used construction materials or items that are available from the hardware. The designer will provide one model.
4. Designers must submit their sketches/mood boards to [email protected] on or before September 5, 2025. They must also submit photos of preloved items to be included in their creations. Official contestants or their official representatives must attend meetings and rehearsals called by the organizer.
5. Any infractions of the above-stated contest mechanics will result in disqualification.
6. A ranking system will be used in the selection of winners. There will be winners in every project. At the end of the competition, the contestant who cumulatively garnered the best rankings in the three categories/ projects shall be declared the grand champion. In cases of ties, the Chairman of the Board will make the final decision.
7. The decision of JUDGES is FINAL and IRREVOCABLE.

IV. Prizes:
CHAMPION PhP 20,000.00, trophy
2 Runners up PhP 5,000.00, trophy
Category winners: PhP 2,000.00 medal
All contestants will receive a participation prize of PhP 15,000.00
