Aside from delivering scripts, we also practice our voiceovers... announcements that help set the tone, guide the guests and build the flow of the event.

šŸŽ„ Hereā€™s a glimpse of how I do my tech checks with the suppliers before a wedding ceremony where Iā€™ll be handling the voiceovers.

A huge part of the job is syncing cues with the musicians and coordinating timing with the tech team (especially the sound tech). These endorsements and run-throughs are crucial because this is where we catch potential issues so when the ceremony starts, everything flows seamlessly and the solemnity of the moment is preserved.

People think soundcheck is just ā€œmic test, 1-2ā€ - all done āœ…

šŸŽ¤ But for a legit professional host, it's more of a vocal calibration. Itā€™s where I figure out how much energy I need to project and how to stay effortless on the mic. Tamang timpla ba!

Some venues swallow your voice, some bounce it back, some make you sound louder than you actually are. If you donā€™t adjust early, youā€™ll end up struggling while speaking.

Voiceover = you perform for them.

A big part of the job happens off-stage like coordinating, double-checking and making sure every single cue hits exactly when it should.

This video shows syncing with suppliers and running full tech checks with the LED wall team because itā€™s all about PRECISION because thereā€™s no room for ā€œwait langā€.
