Calling all aspiring filmmakers, our fellow acclaimed filmmakers Arvin Belarmino and Kyla will be holding an Intensive Filmmaking Workshop thru the Halikon Film Guild it will accommodate only to six students.

The workshop will also invite guest mentors as well.

A workshop for aspiring filmmakers seeking rigorous mentorship.

Led by Arvin Belarmino and Kyla Romero, directors of Agapito (2025), a short film selected for the Main Competition of Cannes Film Festival.

Belarmino also directed Radikals (2024), selected for the Official Competition of the Cannes Film Festival Critics' Week. He was also selected for the La Résidence du Festival de Cannes, Locarno Filmmakers' Academy, Next Step La Semaine de la Critique, and La Fabrique Cinéma.

Romero is a writer-director whose first short film Dosena (2021) was nominated for Best Short Film at the FAMAS Awards. She is also a recipient of the iAcademy iNDIEGENIUS Film Grant 2025, and was selected for Cannes Focus CoPro and for the HFF Munich Women Writing Lab, where she has been mentored by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Robin Swicord.

Intimate space, intensive craft.

An assembly of remarkable actors has been made for an upcoming short feature film.

"Para saan ang utak niyo tsaka mga puso niyo, kung di niyo naman gagamitin para makapagdesisyon at umaksyon."

Written and directed by Edzel Rebamontan, this scene from the 2019 short feature film "The Plumber (Tubero) shows the titular character played by Raul Morit venting out his frustrations on the helplessness of a small district and its community in addressing his plight.

Morit won the Best Actor award at the 2020 Los Angeles Indie Short Fest for this role. Also starring are Sunshine Teodoro, Andrew Figueroa, Sonny Samonte, Kay Peralta, Deda Williet, Mighty Odono, Janis Bancud and Jing Diaz.
