OFFICIAL STATEMENT

As the head of the provincial male pageant for the Mister International Philippines 2024 and Mister La Union Organization, I feel compelled to address a troubling situation that has arisen concerning our crowned Mister Culture International Philippines last June 2024 in Batangas; Mister Marc Louise Sarmac who was left without the necessary financial support to compete at the international pageant in Indonesia.

It is with great disappointment that I report the lack of assistance provided by the national organization, which has directly impacted our national winner’s ability to participate in this prestigious event. And suddenly Mister Sarmac will no longer compete internationally without prior notice. Despite the hard work and dedication exhibited during the national competition, the anticipated support was not forthcoming and this situation has not only affected his opportunity but also tarnishes the reputation of our organization as a whole.

I urge the national pageant committee to acknowledge this dereliction. And Mister Sarmac deserves the support and resources promised to him, and it is the responsibility of the national organization to ensure that every participant is adequately prepared and funded for their journey, especially on an international stage.

This statement serves as a call to action for the national committee to review their processes and commitments to their winners moving forward and it is essential that we uphold the integrity of the Mister International Philippines pageant and support our representatives in every possible way. And as of today, he did not received any cash prize in the above mentioned pageant.

To all of our supporters, sponsors and partners in the province, please continue supporting our humble local male pageant - Mister La Union. Your belief in our mission and commitment to fostering local talent is invaluable.

Together, we can ensure that Mister La Union shines brightly and makes a meaningful impact.
