We are absolutely bursting with pride and gratitude! La Manila is incredibly honored and humbled to have received the Grand Laureate Award during the MIDAS Awards at the 3rd Manila International Dance Festival (MIDFEST) on September 20, 2025, at the stunning Foro De Intramuros.
Thank you, MIDFEST, for granting La Manila this highest level of recognition. While we don't claim to be the best dance group, we can assure you that in whatever endeavor our founder and leaders undertake, La Manila will always be there to support, acting as an instrument of unity and peace through music and dance. We are so grateful to the organizing committee and truly cherish being a part of this grand dance event year after year.
This award is a powerful testament to the hard work and dedication of every single one of our members. Your commitment to our craft and our mission is what makes moments like this possible. This achievement truly belongs to all of you.
And of course, we would be nowhere without our founding director, Mr Archie Dema-ala. Direk Archie, thank you for always believing in us and in our talent. Your guidance and unwavering support have shaped us into the group we are today. The La Manila Ambassadors and Rondalla are nothing without you.
We've always believed that our dance is about more than just passion; it's about a mission and an advocacyโto preserve our culture and heritage for future generations, and to promote peace through music and dances.
