Naisip ko lang, since 2022 meron nang monkeypox confirmed case sa Pinas ( Clyde 2 variant - which is the weaker variant ). And for 2 years, malamang marami na nagkahawahan - possibly hindi lang symptomatic - pero given the length of time, hindi kaya nagkaroon na rin herd immunity ang mga tao sa Pinas? Especially mga bakla na mahilig sa closed space activities na laging dikit dikit. If so, then why are we getting paranoid about this? Why all of a sudden naging big deal mga activities ng mga bakla gaya ng pagpunta sa mga spa or clubs? Why instead of stirring the pot, hindi na lang mag procure ng vaccines - which is by far the most effective way to control further spread? In any case, people are willing to pay for it if hindi kaya ng gobyerno na ibigay sa mga Pinoy nang libre, di ba?

Nakaka frustrate lang kasi that we just try to live a little, tapos since nag-eenjoy tayo biglang bibigyan tayo ng pseudo virus outbreak that specifically targets the gay community. Come one guys, let's be real. We recognize the health concerns and risks, but I don't think it's fair to single out the LGBTQ+ - the gay guys in particular. Again, we want to emphasize that monkeypox does not just affect the gay people. It spreads to everyone so an urgent action needs to be taken by the people in power. Yes, let's call them out incessantly because if we don't - hindi sila gagalaw.
