2024 Recap 6/6

Lastly, I am so beyond blessed to finally have a partner by my side in 2024 - and an extremely supportive one at that!

From those first few months of 2024 when I had just enough gigs to pay for my car, to the 2nd half when blessings flowed so much that I cried from both exhaustion and gratitude—he was right there by my side through it all. He never said no to any of my requests kahit pagod sya. He became my assistant, driver, and videographer despite his crazy busy schedule as a supervisor, and was there emotionally (and was extra patient with my mood swings) on my toughest days.

As a “strong independent woman”, I initially thought it might be hard to admit this... but honestly, I couldn't have made it through the year without him. Learning our love languages and unlearning old habits was a challenge, but it is still the healthiest and most peaceful relationship I’ve ever had. Expected “arguments” are just “discussions”. Not raising our voices or saying anything negative to each other. And watching ourselves grow into our best versions as partners has been one of the happiest things to ever happen in 2024.

Apart from my very small circle of friends and my family, I am so glad to have him as my ultimate support system. From comforting me as I cry from my struggles, to celebrating with me and cheering for me during my milestones, he’s just there to support me all the way.

Here’s to achieving everything we’ve set on our 2025 vision board!!

2024 Recap 5/6

✨THE KING OF TALK IS MY MENTOR!✨

Still can’t believe this happened, but here we are! Last year, I had the honor of being chosen as one of the trainees for Tito Boy Abunda's House of Hosts! Handpicked by THE Tito Boy himself—talk about a dream come true!

This is a lifetime-long training, but I only met him twice last year, both for intense 5-hour training sessions. But the growth I’ve experienced in those sessions is INSANE. My confidence is through the roof, and my hosting game? Leveled up BIG TIME!

Being a part of this journey and learning from the best has been such a blessing. I'm beyond grateful for all the lessons and the opportunity to grow under his mentorship. This year, I’m crossing my fingers to officially be labelled "co-managed by Tito Boy"!

If the opportunity is for you, it will find you—and I’m so thankful it found me!!

I had the honor of working with some truly amazing companies like Watsons, SM, Beko Philippines, Hitachi, and even the rival banks BPI and BDO! 😅 I’m still in awe of being trusted by such incredible brands!

I’m so happy to add them to my growing list of companies I’ve worked with. But a huge shoutout to all the companies also who’ve been loyal to me since 2021! I’m so grateful to grow with you, and I’m beyond excited for all the future projects we’ll continue to crush together!

2024 Recap 3/6

The year didn’t start easy—I struggled A LOT to find clients during the first few months. But when it rained, it poured!! The second half of 2024 was nothing short of AMAZING. For the first time in my 8-year hosting journey, I was fully booked last December!

And not just December—the whole -ber months were packed! 😍 But to be honest, I cried a few times because I was SO overwhelmed. HAHAHA! 😅 Thank goodness for God’s help (and my vitamins lol), I made it through the grind season strong and grateful!

A HUGE thank you to my partner as well, who was my rock through it all. But that’s for another post. Haha!

And because I’ve been fully booked for consecutive months, some people told me na it’s time to level up my rates! So I’ve decided to raise them a bit this year. 😄 As an alipin ng salapi na need sumabay sa pagtaas ng presyo ng bilihin. LOL.

✨ LEVELING UP MY HOSTING GAME! ✨

Goodbye, clipboard and printed papers—hello, iPad Mini and Apple Pencil! From now on, I’ll be hosting with style and tech on my side. Because let’s be real, looking expensive is part of the job, diba? Hahaha! And I feel so sosyal using my ipad na instead of using pens/highlighters/correction tapes to edit program changes and stuff now. 😅

Oh, and not in the photo, but I also got an Insta360 to make better-quality videos of my hosting gigs... but it was a hosting investment masked as a “Christmas gift” to my partner. 😂 (He’s the one who takes videos of me while hosting whenever he’s free anyway—and he’s doing an amazing job at it!!)

This is just the beginning! I’m excited to invest in more tools and gear this year to elevate JMF Events Hosting Services even further. Your host is stepping up, as she should! 😉

I issue receipts now and it feels like leveling up in life. Hahahaha! Who knew paper could feel this powerful? 😂 I pay taxes na din though. (HUHU) 😂 😂 😂

This year, I’m all in! I’m focusing on growing my business and leveling up even more and I’m sooo excited where this will bring me!!

Sooo glad to have hosted the celebration of the union of Luis & Ker! This is definitely one of the craziest weddings i’ve hosted by far! The night was filled with dancing, laughter, and so much energy from the crowd which made the celebration e###tra extra fun!

Special shoutout to the crowd favorite, the birthday girl, and the person who made the crowd go extra wild, Ms. Jocelyn! 😄
