It was a busy Sunday afternoon when I first met Diane and Marc. Marc works in a family business and a musician. He’s the bassist of an OPM band but he’s not your typical rockstar. He is chill and vibrant who just smiles from ear to ear whenever he speaks. Diane is a medical doctor. She reminds me of a korean star. She’s slim, fair skinned, and has a pretty face you can’t help but stare while wondering who is the Korean star she has a resemblance to. She’s charming and confident and has a binder of contracts with prospected suppliers. Love it! Haha
Meeting them made me feel like I am catching up with long time friends. They are both warm and welcoming. They will make you feel like every word you say matters as they listen intently. They know what they want yet open to any ideas. But what I admire most about them is how their love story started...
Eight (8) years ago, Marc met Diane in church. Marc has a crush on Diane but was afraid to initiate anything. He was so keen on the impression he will create to the point that he refused to add Diane on facebook despite his churchmates adding each other. Marc was contented playing music and praising God with Diane in church. He has clean intentions. He wanted it to be right but did not know how to start.
One day, while Marc was sitting by himself in the corner of the stage, Diane approached Marc and asked: “Mahilig ka ba magbasa ng libro?” And Marc, knowing he is NOT fond of books answered. “Oo, mahilig ako.” 😂Diane handed the book to Marc with her notes asking what his thoughts are. Marc, hopeful that he was, read the book immediately when he got home. He was eager to see some sign that Diane is interested and just making her first move - but there’s none. It’s all about her questions in church and faith.
Long story short, he answered the book and discussed their faith. They become friends. Marc used to accompany Diane everywhere – from pick up of campaign shirts, reviews, shopping, and the likes. They are inseparable. They become best friends.
After a year of friendship, Diane noticed what they have is something special. Something’s there but can’t be explained. It was all a blur, but it was there. Diane needs to understand what’s happening - so, she decided. Diane strategically placed Marc in a situation that will make him confess how he really feels. And Marc, as careful as he is, finally told her how he really loved her from the very start. 💖

They will get married in July 2019 and can’t express to tell you how thankful and grateful I am to be part of your wedding day. Thank you, Marc and Diane, for showing us the kind of patience, love and respect that will keep a relationship grounded and unbreakable. I learned from you that setting healthy foundation and starting with the right motive are the keys to long lasting relationship. See you on your wedding day with lots of love and hugs!!! 💖💖💖
