It doesn’t take much to have a cool bar and cafe. I’m not talking about convenience and efficiency, you got plenty of trash out there for that. I’m talking about a neighbourhood spot that hits the spot year after year. You got have an eye for detail, a small menu that you can excel at, an authentic vibe. It helps if your landlord isn’t squeezing you to become the next starsucks. It helps if you have enough staff to serve the number of customers you want. And it’s best if you’re not a brand or a franchise before you’re a valuable contributor to the communities you serve. And because all of the best café and bars are small businesses, it doesn’t hurt to have some business nous and to ask your community to reciprocate with a post like this.
