Aning’s Flower Shop is a family-owned business established by Anita Abadillos. Her husband, Romeo, used to grow Gladiola in their backyard in Los Baños, Laguna. Anita, known to many as 'Nanay Aning', will then sell these flowers along the busy streets of Quiapo, Manila. She would bring her older children to help with the flower arrangement, while her younger kids stayed at home, watching over their precious Gladiolas. This sparked a growing interest in the art of floristry within the family.
In 1975, the local government of Manila ordered the relocation of flower vendors to what is popularly known today as Dangwa. However, the idea did not sit comfortably with Nanay Aning. Instead, she decided to move back to Los Baños and lease a small space along Lopez Avenue. This became the birthplace of Aning’s Flower Shop.
From then on, Nanay Aning’s passion and skills for elegant floristry have been handed down from generation to generation. For 43 years and counting, Aning’s Flower Shop continuously innovates to satisfy our customers, not only with our floral arrangements, but also in transforming each special occasion to a memory that will last a lifetime.
