Hello po! This is a long over due post sharing a personal experience, not to one, but to connect with and encourage those of you in the creative industry who may be feeling the same way… 🧡
“Balloons lang naman yan, bakit ang mahal?”
What people usually see is the final setup lang.
Pero what they don’t see is everything happening behind the scenes…
Yung pag travel from one supplier to another just to find the right materials, constant planning, revisions, adjustments, at biglaang changes ng client habang ginagawa yung concept.
Yung stress sa suppliers kapag delayed ang materials, may kulang, maling kulay, or biglang unavailable yung kailangan mo and the pressure na humanap agad ng solution kahit malapit na ang event date.
Mga uncertain circumstances during setup days. May mga unexpected problems sa venue, schedule delays, weather issues, at minsan pati coordination sa mga kasama sa work kailangan mo pang i-manage para matapos lahat on time.
Then hours and hours of physical work, buhat ng materials, setup, installations, detailing, at styling from scratch.
Minsan kulang sa tulog, pagod physically and mentally, pero kailangan parin maging creative and composed during the event. Kasama siya lahat sa costing.
Now, when I see skilled stylists and planners, I just think; you deserve to be paid well for your craft!
It’s not overpricing, it’s about fair value. When we value our work, the whole industry rises and clients better understand what we create. 🧡
For sure may makikita kayong mas mura.
Madali naman talaga magpababa ng presyo para makakuha ng client.
And honestly, if ang difference lang naman is around ₱1,000–₱1,500, nakatipid ka ba talaga?
Especially if you’re looking for a decent and well-curated setup with quality details and proper ex*****on.
Funny how people want Pinterest-level styling but expect presyo na parang pabili lang ng lobo sa kanto. 😅
Today, One thing this industry taught me is that it’s okay to say “No” to events that may compromise your well-being as a business owner and creative. ✨
We all deserve respect, not only clients, but also the suppliers and creatives working hard behind every event.
Appreciation hits different when clients value not just the setup, but also the time, effort, and creativity behind every detail, without asking us to lower our rates or shorter. 🧡
And by the way, this whole setup was worth **,000. 😉
