Divine Creator and Protector,
We lift up the people of Iligan City today, especially those currently facing the rising waters and the uncertainty of the storm. We ask for Your immediate presence to be a shield around every household, from the coastal barangays to the mountain slopes.

We pray for protection:
• For those trapped in their homes or seeking higher ground, grant them safety and swift rescue.
• For the children, the elderly, and the vulnerable, keep them warm, calm, and out of harm’s way.
• For the first responders—the rescue teams, the local government, and the volunteers—give them strength, clear vision, and courage as they navigate the dangerous waters.

We pray for comfort:
• To those who have lost their homes, their belongings, or their livelihoods, provide a sense of peace that transcends the chaos.
• Remind them that while the waters take much away, the spirit of the Iliganon is resilient and cannot be washed away.

We pray for the aftermath:
• As the waters recede, may the spirit of Bayanihan take hold. Open the hearts of those with plenty to share with those who have nothing.
• Grant the city leaders wisdom in distributing aid and rebuilding what has been broken.

In the midst of the rain, may we find a "City of Majestic Waterfalls" that returns to beauty and peace, rather than destruction. Keep them under Your watchful eye until the sun rises on a dry and safe tomorrow.

When the world moved faster and families got busier, Josefina’s Classic Kitchen found a way to bring people back—to their roots, their memories, and the warmth of shared meals—one online order at a time.

A family shared their unforgettable experience and story as they enjoy filipino traditional food together.

It started with a family scattered across the city: Sir Jun and Ma’am Liza who used to live in Iligan now living in Cavite, their grandparents currently in Iligan City. Their usual Sunday lunch had become group chats whenever they gather a memorable event every year. But one rainy weekend, when all they were gathered back in the City of waterfalls, they decided to do something different.

They decided to order from Josefina’s Classic Kitchen as they were scrolling from different delivery apps, hoping to recreate the feeling they once had around their old dining table.

The food arrived in carefully packed trays—still warm, still fragrant, like they had just come out of Josefina’s Classic kitchen.

The moment the fresh lumpia was unwrapped, silence fell. The delicate wrapper, the savory filling, and the sweet garlic sauce—it was like a time machine. “Tastes like Noche Buena at Lola’s,” whispered Ma’am Liza, wiping away a tear.

The pichi-pichi, soft and sticky with just the right touch of grated cheese, brought Sir Jun back to birthday parties filled with laughter and their typical handa.

Even though they were far from each other, they made sure to gather once in a year and they were together again—connected by flavor, by culture, by heart.
