There are factors to consider why you must not haggle the "TF"or talent fee of people working
for events.
Here are the reasons why:
1st- To begin with, from the word itself "talent fee", which means you give the right compensation for the service rendered of the talented person you hired.
Not all, not even you can fully do that job. Otherwise, you would've done it yourself. But, you couldn't and you are not professional enough to portray the role,
that's why you needed an expert person to do it.
2nd- The person you hired have already created portfolios of their work, that can vouch to the standard rate they gave you. Meaning to say, they do not just give you an amount to be paid based from status. There is a standard amount they have to follow to compensate their work.
3rd- Working for events; be it supplier for food, photo and video, sounds, coordination and Hosting. They do not just give you the service and you are not just paying their rendered hours. But, you are adding value to their time, best efforts, skills and most importantly their talent as an individual.
4th- When you book their service, there is a passion burning out in the open. It's like you have have awaken a lion in his throne. The talent and skills are like embers that are waiting to be blow up just so you know how fires become so beautiful. So when you try to haggle the greatness of a talent you are creating an insult to their experiences, trials and overcame struggles. You are killing a fire burning and a passionate one.
