Your wedding, your rule 💪

Alam mo kung bakit nagiging sobrang stressful ng wedding planning for some brides? 🤔

It’s not just about the budget.

It’s not the guest list (though nakakastress din yan 😂).

Pero madalas na pinaka-cause ng stress ay yung pilit nating pinapasaya lahat ng tao sa paligid natin.

Yung para lang wala silang masabi pagbibigyan mo na, kahit hindi naman aligned sa dream wedding mo yan...

Or worse kahit alam mong di na pasok yan sa wedding budget ninyo, natatakot kang magsalita.

👉 Napipilitan kang i-invite si ganito si ganyan kasi baka magtampo.
👉 Pumayag kang maging abay lahat ng pinsan mo kasi natatakot ka na baka maoffend sila kapag mga closest friends mo ang abay sa kasal ninyo.
👉 Yung susundin mo na lang ang gustong mangyari ng pamilya mo kahit ibang-iba sa pinapangarap mong kasal, kasi ayaw mong may masabi sila.

Kaya habang tumatagal, parang nawawala yung joy sa planning.

Yung wedding na gusto mo, unti-unting nagiging wedding ng iba.

Kung dati excited ka magplano ng wedding, ngayon gusto mo na lang matapos na.

Akala mo kasi kapag pinagbigyan mo ng isang beses, okay na. Yun pala simula pa lang yun.

And they don't stop until you set boundaries.

Hindi mo kailangan i-please ang buong barangay, lalo na kung kapalit nito ay yung happiness mo.

Yes, some people will have opinions.
Yes, may masasabi pa rin ang iba kahit anong gawin mo.

Pero guess what?

They don’t get to live with the consequences and the regrets, ikaw ang ikakasal, memories mo lahat yan.

I understand, hindi madali. Lalo na kung sanay ka na sumusunod sa mga magulang mo, o kung lumaki ka sa pamilya o angkan na puno ng hiya at utang na loob.

Pero if there's one lesson na sana matutunan mo agad, it's this:
