PDEA SEIZES MA*****NA FROM COURIER WAREHOUSE IN DUMAGUETE CITY

During a K9 inspection of a courier warehouse in Barangay Junob, Dumaguete City, on Tuesday, February 24, operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office-Negros Island Region Seaport Interdiction Unit of Negros Oriental (PDEA RO-NIR SIU Negros Oriental) recovered approximately 80 grams of suspected ma*****na.

Authorities seized ma*****na bricks and leaves, a glass tube, and a sticker labeled “WIZK HIGHDOL” during the operation. Fortunately, no arrests were made because the illegal drugs were found inside a parcel.

PDEA is currently conducting an investigation to determine the sender and intended recipient of the contraband, with the goal of filing appropriate charges.

Reason: Maintenance activities along the Amlan-Siaton 69kV line.
