Your wedding rehearsal is NOT just about practicing the walk. 💍

A good wedding walk-through prepares you for the little moments that will happen so quickly on the actual day.

At Ever After, these are some of the details we make sure our couples understand before they say “I do.”

1️⃣ The Walk Down the Aisle
Know your pace. Don’t rush. Know where to look, when to pause, how to carry your bouquet, and how to enjoy the moment. You only get this walk once.

2️⃣ The Ring Exchange
Yes, even the way you put on the ring matters. Know the correct hand, position yourselves properly, and avoid covering the moment with your hands so your photo and video team can capture it clearly.

3️⃣ The Kiss
Please don’t make it a one-second kiss. 🤭
Know where to stand, lean in naturally, and hold it for a few seconds. Give yourselves—and your photographers—the moment.

4️⃣ Having an Outdoor Wedding? Visit at the SAME TIME as your ceremony.
This is one detail we strongly recommend.

Why? Because checking the venue at approximately the same time lets you experience the actual heat, sunlight, shadows, wind direction and overall comfort your guests and entourage may encounter.

What looks perfect at 10 AM may feel completely different at 4 PM.

5️⃣ Know Where You Stand—and What Happens Next
Your ceremony positions, where to face, when to sit, when to move, and who gives the cue.

The goal? You shouldn’t have to keep looking at your coordinator asking, “What’s next?” 😅

We’ll already be there guiding you.

6️⃣ Practice Your Ceremony Exit
Your recessional is another beautiful photo opportunity. Know who exits first, wait for the music cue, walk together—and please, don’t sprint out of the aisle. Enjoy it. You’re married!

7️⃣ Cake. Toast. First Dance.
Even these deserve a quick walk-through.

Where will you stand for the cake cutting?
Where should you face during the toast?
Where should your first dance begin?

These small positions matter because your guests—and your cameras—need to see you.

8️⃣ And then, the little details.
Who keeps the rings?
Who holds the bouquet?
Who fixes the train before the walk?
Who has the vows?
Where do the parents stand?
When does the entourage move?

These may seem small now.

On the wedding day, they become everything.

Because our goal is never to turn your wedding into a performance that you have to memorize.

It’s the opposite.

We prepare you enough that when the day finally comes, you can stop thinking about what happens next and simply be present in what is happening now.

This week, Ever After had the privilege of serving alongside fellow members of the Philippine Association of Wedding Planners. As facilitators, we also took on the responsibility of keeping every session on time—because every speaker deserves to be heard, and every attendee deserves a seamless learning experience.

At the same time, we remained students ourselves.

Every year, we return to PAWP not only to serve—but to continue learning.

This year, we are grateful to once again be part of the Philippine Association of Wedding Planners (PAWP) Wedding Planning Seminar as one of its facilitators and volunteers. It is always an honor to help create an experience where fellow wedding professionals can learn, connect, and grow together.
