STORY TIMEโ-
May 28 was supposed to be Gwylette and Geraldโs wedding day.
For a year, we planned, dreamed, and carefully curated every detail for what was meant to be their big day. Suppliers were booked, timelines were drafted, and every piece of the puzzle was slowly falling into place.
Then life gave them an even greater blessing.
Little Grae came into their lives, and without hesitation, they chose to move their church wedding to next year, putting their growing family first.
Last night, as we celebrated Graeโs christening, something beautiful happened.
For a few minutes, the spotlight shifted from baby Grae back to the couple whose love started it all. Thanks to our amazing host Nikko (being the host that she is) a surprise first dance unfolded right in the middle of the celebration.
There was a brownout. No grand lighting setup. No elaborate production. Just music and a bubble fog machine doing their best to create the moment.
But sometimes, magic doesnโt need perfect conditions.
Despite the limited power from the generator, MISH took the risk and brought their lights to life. And in that brief glow, Gerald and Gwylette shared a dance that felt like a glimpse of the wedding day that is still waiting for them.
A reminder that love doesnโt need a perfect stage to shine.
Because real love finds its power not in the lights, but in the people who choose each otherโagain and again, through every change of plans, every sacrifice, and every season of life.
And last night, love proved that even in the dark, it has the power to light up the room. โจ
