May 2nd was more than just a date on the calendar for us. It was the result of weeks of planning, countless adjustments, sleepless nights, and a whole lot of passion poured into making sure that every single participant walked away with something truly fulfilling. Not just a decorated cake, but a skill, a memory, and hopefully, a deeper love for the craft.
People who had never held a piping bag before were suddenly creating flowers, rosettes, and beautiful layers of buttercream. There were laughs, there were moments of frustration, and there were those quiet moments where you could just see someone completely absorbed in what they were making and that, honestly, was everything.
None of this would have been possible without our guest speaker, Chef Marvin Jimenez Co**ha โ Owner and Executive Chef of Soufflรฉ Cake Cebu and The Croissant Factory, Cum Laude graduate of the University of Cebu, and a chef who has refined his craft through elite training and masterclasses across Asia. Chef Marvin didn't just teach techniques he shared his story, his heart, and his genuine love for baking with every person in that room. His patience, his energy, and the way he connected with the participants made the whole experience feel less like a workshop and more like being welcomed into his world. We are deeply, sincerely grateful.
Cake Canvas was our blank canvas too and together, we made something beautiful.
This is only the beginning.
