Happy Tourism and Hospitality Management Week to Le Cercle Culinaire - LCC , Hospitality Management Society (HMS), and Tourism Circle Organization (TCO) of the University of San Jose-Recoletos — the pioneer in Tourism and Hospitality education in Cebu and the Visayas, celebrating 50 years of excellence.

It feels great to be back where it all started for me — first as a Hospitality Management student, then as a lecturer and Program Chair. Grateful for the opportunity to share insights on MICE industry trends and challenges alongside fellow alumnus and Managing Director/Partner of The Abaca Group, Chef Patrick Henry Corpuz, and Department of Tourism Regional Director Dr. Gelena Asis-Dimpas.

: ASEAN 2026 Gala Dinner
A seamless 1-hour quick change transformed the theater setup of the Opening Ceremony into the banquet setup for the evening’s Gala Dinner.
Green Concepts and Events proudly supported Cafe Laguna in training the service staff and assisting with the day-of-event setup and F&B service. Students from University of Cebu, together with waiters from various hotels, worked alongside the Malacañang F&B Team to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
The Gala Dinner showcased the rich flavors and hospitality of the Philippines to delegates and Heads of State from across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations

: BAGANI (Cebu Version) Shoot

Exactly today, we shot the MTV for the Cebuano version of “Bagani”—the official theme song of the 2021 Quincentennial Commemorations in the Philippines.

Looking back, it wasn’t just another project. It was one of those that quietly stays with you.

Bagani—a word that means warrior and leader—reminded us of our roots. Of who we are as Filipinos. Of stories we grew up with, like the Battle of Mactan and the courage of Lapulapu.

But at that time, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, it felt different. More real. So we chose to tell it in a way that connected the past to the present—highlighting not just heroes from history, but the modern-day heroes around us. Frontliners. Essential workers. Ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

And even now, that message still hits.

The Cebuano version, produced by the Cebu City Government, made it even more personal—hearing it in our own language just hits differently.
