MEET BEGO, THE RESIDENT MEOWPUAN 🐈🐱

Bego, a resident cat at Mapúa University, has charmed netizens after being photographed holding onto a chair leg and the strap of a camera during an event at the university’s Intramuros campus.

The adorable moment was captured during “The Ano Nga Ba? Series, Episode 2” at the Mapúa University Intramuros Gymnasium on August 5, 2026, according to Mapúa’s campus radio station, Radio Cardinal.

Bego is one of the campus cats known as “Meowpuans”—felines cared for by the Mapúa CBMES Student Council and allowed to freely roam around the campus.

While the event was underway, Bego made an unexpected appearance at the gymnasium and caught the attention of one of the photographers.
