A Centre Plaza Mall Initiated Project headed by the Building Administrator, Engr. Roy Castro in collaboration with the Balanga City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine National Police and City Public Safety Office.
Participated in Attendance by Key Personnel of the various companies of the De Guzman Group of Companies that includes Centre Plaza Mall Corporation, Centre Plaza Cinema Inc., Casalegre Arcade Inc., Jollibee Balanga CPM, Jollibee Balanga Capitol, Jollibee Superhighway, Jollibee Balanga Diversion, Jollibee Orani, Jollibee Mariveles, Jollibee Dinalupihan and Red Ribbon Balanga including our Tenants from Centre Plaza Mall and Casalegre Arcade.
Activity started in a Pre-Briefing and Orientation headed by the (CDRRMO) City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office Training Team, Ms. Karleen Mae T. Inieto and Ms. Danica Joy D. Reyes held on April 18, 2016, 2PM to 4PM at Centre Plaza Mall Training Room. Attendees came from various company representatives with training in Red Cross Basic Life Support and First Aide.
Activity started in a Pre-Briefing and Orientation headed by the (CDRRMO) City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office Training Team, Ms. Karleen Mae T. Inieto and Ms. Danica Joy D. The activity started in a short but detailed Briefing and Orientation on Disaster Awareness and Preparedness followed by actual demonstrations and simulation of the actual rescue and first aide procedures being actively participated by all of the attendees.
The Main Activity was held last April 19, 2016 at Centre Plaza Cinema 1 (for the Orietation and Seminar Proper) with a Theme: "Disaster Awareness and Preparedness Seminar with Fire/Earthqauke Evacuation Drill", attended by various company of the De Guzman Group of Companies including Key Representatives from Tenants for the Centre Plaza Mall and Casalegre Arcade, respectively.
The Program started in a short Prayer AVP followed by the National Anthem and the Balangueno Hymn. Recall of the Members Present was facilitated by Ms. Sylvia D. Tolentino, the Finance and Admin Manager of CPM. The Seminar Proper was started thru an Encouraging Words delivered by our Special Guest Speaker from the Bureau of Fire Protection - City Fire Marshal, SRINSP Allan N. Barredo.
Different Informative and Important Topics were presented and discussed during the Seminar facilitated by Knowledgeable Speakers from the different Local Government Units in the following order:
Topic 1: "Disaster Awareness and Preparedness" facilitated by Ms. Karleen Mae T. Inieto and Ms. Danica Joy D. Reyes of the CDRRMO (City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office)
Topic 2: "Fire Prevention Orientation" facilitated by SFO1 Francisco B. Perena and FO1 John Rossel R. Lim of the BFP (Bureau of Fire Protection)
Topic 3: "Bomb Threats and Civil Disturbances" facilitated by PO2 Ellen N. Ellano of the PNP (Philippine National Police)
Topic 4: "Public Safety and Security" facilitated by Engr. Joaquin Geronimo C. Banzon of the CPSO (City Public Safety Office)
Closing Remarks and Words of Thanks was delivered by Ms. Zoraida D. Lopez, the Leasing and Marketing Manager of CPM followed by Final Briefing and Planning for the Fire / Earthquake Evacuation Drill being discussed by Engr. Roy C. Castro, the Building Administrator of CPM.
The most awaited activity proceeded after the Seminar Proper. It was held at Casalegre Arcade Building wherein a Simulation of an Actual Fire / Earthquake Scenario was conducted and participated by all of the attendees to apply all the knowledge and learnings taken during the Day-Long Awareness and Preparedness Orientation and Seminar. It was observed and evaluated by various representatives of the LGU's at the end of the activity.
All the Attendees participated well and showed seriousness in the application of all there learnings during the Actual Fire / Earthquake Evacuation Drill. Excitement and Suspense was observed during the Final Evaluation of the Actual Evacuation Drill being discussed by the various representatives of the LGU's.
A successful celebration was seen among all the Participants during the announcement of the Passing Grades for the Fire / Earthquake Evacuation Drill being certified and approved by the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Committee.
The Program was ended by an Encouraging Message of Engr. Dennis B. Mariano, Officer In Charge of the CDRRMO (City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office).
Distribution of Certificates of Participation was awarded to all the Participants at the end of the Program. The entire Program was hosted by Mr. Jude B. Jaraba, the Events and Marketing Manager of CPM.
To sum-up the entire Program and Activities we may say that it was facilitated, organized and delivered well. New Knowledge and Learnings that we can apply in our Daily Routine Activities in our respective companies specially with regards to the Safety and Security of the Public and the all the people in the organization as well.
