5th 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑮𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝑮𝒊𝒓𝒍 𝑹𝒆𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔

GSP Bataan Council’s Senior and Cadet Planning Board (SCPB) Vice-Chairperson and Secretary, Cadet GS Maria Micaella Angela Jaraba and Cadet GS Rihanna Sophia P. Sotto, participated at the 5th 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑮𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝑮𝒊𝒓𝒍 𝑹𝒆𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔. Held on December 13-15, 2024 at the 𝖠𝗍𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝖳𝖺𝗁𝖺𝗇𝖺𝗇 𝖭𝖺𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇𝖺𝗅 𝖯𝗋𝗈𝗀𝗋𝖺𝗆 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖳𝗋𝖺𝗂𝗇𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝖢𝖾𝗇𝗍𝖾𝗋 in Baguio City, the event brought together Girl Scouts from across the Philippines, with the theme “Her EcoTrail: Girl Leaders for Sustainable Solutions.”

The three-day event kicked off with

𝘿𝙖𝙮 1: 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙞𝙣 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣
The first day of the event focused on enhancing participants' leadership through activities such as the Acclimatization Challenge and Reflective Exercises. The day concluded with the “Christmas is in the Air” Social Night where the Girls bonded by performances and holiday-themed activities.

𝘿𝙖𝙮 2: 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙊𝙪𝙩𝙙𝙤𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚
The participants visited various sites and institutions that actively promote the 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 (𝘜𝘕) 𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘋𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘎𝘰𝘢𝘭𝘴 (𝘚𝘋𝘎𝘴) including SDG 6 (𝘊𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘞𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯), SDG 8 (𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘌𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘤 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘵𝘩), SDG 11 (𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴), SDG 12 (𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯), SDG 13 (𝘊𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯), SDG 15 (𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘥), SDG 16 (𝘗𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦, 𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯). Additionally, the NEDA Cookout Challenge further encouraged creativity and resourcefulness, as the girls prepared meals aligned with SDG 2 (𝘡𝘦𝘳𝘰 𝘏𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳), SDG 3 (𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭-𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨), and SDG 12. The day concluded with a lively 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙉𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩: 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙚, 𝙎𝙬𝙖𝙥𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙚𝙡𝙡 wherein different Girl Scouting Regions also shared their performances that tackled the three pillars of the SDGs namely Society, Economy, and Biosphere.

𝘿𝙖𝙮 3: 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚
On the last day of the event, participants showcased their innovative plans for community-driven sustainability during the Presentation of Girl Leaders’ Plans. Through plenary sessions and regional discussions, our council’s representatives shared their insights on advancing the SDGs. The event concluded with inspiring and heartfelt messages marking the participants' commitment to bringing their learnings and sustainable initiatives back to their respective councils.

Overall, the 5th 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑮𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝑮𝒊𝒓𝒍 𝑹𝒆𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔 left a lasting impact on all participants. Now, they are ready to take bold steps in creating a sustainable future.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Tita Gilda Cruel, a beloved member of our Girl Scout community. Tita Gilda was more than just a coordinator; she was a mentor, a friend, and a true inspiration to countless young women.

Her dedication to fostering leadership, building confidence, and empowering girls to reach their full potential was truly remarkable.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time.
