Through our service, we have become a part of our clients' special moments. We are always touched by the notes/letters they request to deliver with their flower bouquets. We can feel the romance, sadness, and all the emotions our clients want to convey, and we are happy that they trust our flower shop to be a part of these important events. But today, there is something even more special.
There is a child who always visits our flower shop and asks us about the price of our roses. We always tell him that one rose costs 5 pesos. We used to say this thinking he was just joking, not taking his question seriously. Every day, he keeps repeating the same question, stopping for a while, thinking, and leaves. But today, as he asked the same question, he already had 5 pesos in his hand and told us that he was going to buy one. We asked him to whom he was going to give it, and he said he was going to give it to his mom. We were surprised and touched by his thoughtfulness! He is the first customer of his age that we've had.
This story may not be a big deal to some of us, but for our team, it is something memorable.
5 pesos is just a piece of coin; it doesn't have high value, but it is all that he has. He could buy candies and small toys with his five-peso coin, but he chose to use it not for himself but for someone he loves.
This reminded us that thoughtfulness doesn't cost a lot, and a simple act of kindness speaks a thousand words of love.
We hope that one day, our kids grow up like him—a kind, thoughtful, and loving child.
