MASS-KASINGKASING
The MassKara 2025 Official Logo
As the culmination of the elements embodying Kabuhรฌ, Manamit, and Hinumdumโslowly revealed in the past daysโeverything now converges into Mass-Kasingkasing, the heartbeat of Bacolod.
This grand finale serves as the ultimate expression of the Bacolodnon spirit: the hope that drives the City of Smiles and the Spirit of MassKara that binds its people together.
The unveiling of the MassKara Festival 2025 Logo becomes the cityโs living signatureโa smile that endures, a heart that beats with pride, and a culture that shines with hope.
This is also in line with the direction of Mayor Greg Gasataya, whose GUGMA agenda inspired the formation of the Bacolod Gugma Foundation Inc. It is through this vision of โGUGMAโ that the festival strengthens its identityโanchored in love, unity, and the enduring spirit of the Bacolodnon.

The Artist Behind the Heartbeat
Behind this powerful symbol is Paula Romaine O. Salmingoโan illustrator, fabric/textile designer, and graphic artist with deep roots in Bacolodโs creative community.
Romaine is a graduate of La Consolacion College โ Bacolod, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising Arts. During her college years, she shone as a scholar and a leader, receiving multiple awards including Best in Thesis, Best in Design Presentation, Best in Oral Defense, and Best in Manuscript. She also served as Governor of the ARFIEN Department and President of the Artist Forum.
Her creative journey has spanned events, branding, and large-scale commercial design. She has contributed her artistry to Team Acids Productions, collaborating with various local and national brands.
In 2019, Romaine co-designed the official Electric MassKara logo alongside Aeson Baldevia and Skippy Gustilo, and she also created the branding for Dinagyang Love Dance 2019. She has likewise supported visual branding for her familyโs businesses.
Today, Romaine focuses on fabric and surface design with international textile companies. Much of her style is Disney-inspired, bursting with bold colors, playful characters, and whimsical patterns. Her passion lies in creating designs that tell stories, bring joy, and come to life as wearable art, prints, and products.
For Romaine, designing the MassKara Festival 2025 Logo is more than a professional milestoneโit is a homecoming. It is her tribute to Bacolod, her way of giving back to a city whose identity is woven into her craft.
With Mass-Kasingkasing, she gifts Bacolod a logo that is not just an image but a living heartbeatโa smile, a spirit, and a culture that shines with endless hope.
