We’ve just concluded an insightful session on “How Crypto and Blockchain Drive Financial Innovation in Traditional Finance” — and what an inspiring turnout it was!

‎𝗖𝗢6 𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗦 𝗖𝗥𝗬𝗣𝗧𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗥. With the theme "The Future of Finance: Exploring Opportunities in Digital Markets," the CO6 Bachelor of Science in Accountancy class under Sir Felix D. Cena organized the Crypto Your Future Seminar held at the UNO-R IS Activity Center on April 12.

‎The event featured Mr. Joerald A. Pepito, founder of the Cryptology Academy, who discussed cryptocurrency and how blockchain technology is shaping the current financial landscape. The seminar aimed to equip students with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the fast-evolving world of finance and digital assets.

‎"We chose cryptocurrency and blockchain technology because they are relevant examples of financial markets, which is our main topic in Financial Management 2. Since these concepts are often misunderstood or seen as scams, as it was said earlier, we wanted to shed light on their real value and opportunities through this seminar," Novie Santocildes said, project lead of the seminar.

‎It was attended by students from the College of Business and Accountancy, who gained valuable insights into how cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and digital assets are transforming global markets and revolutionizing the way we understand money.

‎"The most rewarding part of leading this project for me was seeing our vision come to life and witnessing how much our participants learned and enjoyed the experience. It felt fulfilling to create something meaningful and impactful with the team, especially it's our first time organizing an event," Santocildes added.
