Window light is one of the most powerful tools you'll ever use

One of my favorite tricks:
Put your subject right next to a window.
Instant beautiful light.

Use window light for the details too!

Backlight creates glow, depth, and separation

Don't be afraid to create your own backlit scene

Sometimes the best photos
happen when the light is barely there
Low light can feel intimate.

You don't have to chase locations.
You can chase light.

And of course play with your flash to get that moody artificial light!

Find the light.
Shape the moment.
