𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘪𝘶𝘴, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘴

For us at Reminiscque, trust has always been at the heart of every collaboration. And perhaps no relationship has tested, strengthened, and celebrated that trust quite like our work with the Tan Family.

2026 marks our third year of collaboration with the Tans and our fourth styling for one of their biggest celebrations.

Our journey began in 2024 with the wedding of Sir Alfonso Tan and Ma'am Helen, transformed into 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬, where romance, old-world glamour, and Parisian sophistication set the tone.

In 2025 came 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬, a birthday celebration for Boss Ponso inspired by the richness of Chinese culture, followed later that year by their company's 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥-𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐝 year-ender, filled with movement, color, and celebration.

Each celebration had its own character, and each gave us another opportunity to create something distinctly theirs.

Then came 2026.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐑𝟖𝟎𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐁𝐨𝐬𝐬. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐑𝟖𝟎𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞.
One day. Two major celebrations. Four halls. And one complete transformation, twice.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐑𝟖𝟎𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐁𝐨𝐬𝐬
The morning celebration gathered thousands of company employees at the Iloilo Convention Center for a milestone worthy of Sir Alfonso's 80th year.

The venue had to be ready by 6:30 in the morning, beginning with a Mass before moving into the GR80EST Boss celebration.

The challenge was that the main stage was occupied by another wedding the night before. Its egress finished at around 2:00 AM, giving our team only a few hours to transform the venue.

From there, everything moved quickly.

Trussing went up. Lighting followed. Installations were brought in. Four halls of the Iloilo Convention Center had to be dressed, coordinated, polished, and ready for thousands of arriving guests.

At around 4:39 AM, we were already coordinating with our show, program, and lights director, Sir Aldene, while working closely with Ms. Mee Ay, our dear coordinator.

There was no room for delay.
Yet when we looked around at our team after the setup, they were still smiling.

The room carried a deep, commanding red, layered with warm lighting, theatrical details, and large-scale installations that reflected the magnitude of the occasion.

It was bold without becoming heavy, grand without losing warmth.
A fitting celebration for The GR80EST Boss.

𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐍, 𝐖𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐓.

By 2:00 PM, the morning celebration had wrapped.
We had another one to build.

The venue had to be transformed once again for the evening celebration:

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐑𝟖𝟎𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞
This time, the story shifted from the celebration of the Boss to the story of the man himself.

The evening concept brought together the journey, the milestones, the people, and the greatest chapters of Sir Alfonso's 80 years.

We expanded the visual language of the morning and gave it a more theatrical character.

Ball chandeliers were added overhead. Additional ceiling swags deepened the red canopy. Classic chandeliers framed the sides.

The theatre curtain backdrop was transformed into a giant book, carrying the quotable titles of Sir Alfonso's journey and turning the stage into more than a backdrop. It became a visual chapter of a life built across eight decades.

New centerpieces were wheeled in. Branding details were polished. The welcome arch and photo area were rebuilt, with every detail checked once again.

And the room that had welcomed thousands in the morning was given an entirely new personality by evening.

𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒, 𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐇𝐀𝐈, 𝐓𝐎 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐕𝐀𝐋, 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐄

Looking back, there is something special about the progression of these celebrations.

One Night in Paris gave us romance.
Shanghai Nights gave us culture and grandeur.
Carnival gave us movement, color, and celebration.
And The GR80EST Ride of a Lifetime gave us a story.

Four celebrations. Three years. One family.
With every collaboration, the expectations grew higher, the scale became larger, and the details became more demanding.

But this year's challenge was different.
It wasn't simply about designing a beautiful room.
It was about 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝, 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭.

It was about having more than 30 members of our team move as one, beginning before sunrise, completing one massive celebration, and returning hours later to transform the same venue all over again.

There were moments of pressure and exhaustion, but there was also a quiet sense of pride in seeing everything come together exactly when it needed to.

Because despite the time pressure, the changing requirements, the tight turnover, and the expectations surrounding a milestone such as this, we remained true to what Reminiscque has always been about:
𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲, 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.

The GR80EST was not only a celebration of Sir Alfonso Tan turning 80. For us, it was another chapter in a relationship built on trust, collaboration, and the privilege of being invited back to create something meaningful for the Tan Family.

Four celebrations. Three years. One continuing story of trust.
And this chapter?
It was, without a doubt, the 𝐆𝐑𝟖𝟎𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞.

𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧, 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐈𝐭 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐦

There was something particularly good about flowers in this room.

Peth and Kate’s celebration came dressed in warm chocolate and earthy tones, with layers of drapery, velvety brown accents, candlelight, and a room that knew exactly how to set the mood. And then came the florals, fresh, loose, and beautifully alive against all that richness.

White lilies, anthuriums, delicate blooms, greens, and unexpected little touches of green grapes were brought together in arrangements that felt organic without looking too wild. They stretched across the tables, rose gently from the centerpieces, and added just enough freshness to keep the whole room from becoming too heavy.

The draperies may have been the scene-stealer, but the florals had their own quiet way of getting noticed. Against the deep, warm palette, every white bloom seemed a little brighter, every green a little fresher.

It was brown, yes. But never boring.
And with candlelight doing its part, Peth and Kate’s reception came together in a way that felt warm, lush, and wonderfully alive.

𝐁𝐈𝐆 𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐓 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐋 𝐏𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄

You know how Reminiscque can be lowkey, polished, and elegantly put together.
But every now and then, we like a little drama, too.

For Jam’s floral finds, we took her cue and went a little bigger with the bouquet. Soft pinks, powder blues, fresh greens, creamy whites, and little pops of yellow, all coming together in one very happy bunch.

It may look like a lot of flowers, but we promise, there was still some Reminiscque thinking behind it. We wanted Jam to have her big bouquet moment without giving her something she’d have to fight with all the way down the aisle.

So yes, we can do lowkey.
We can do elegant.

And when the bride asks for a little more...
we can do that, too.

Then there was Ella and Ian.

Lovers who are both humble and lovely, with a kind of warmth that makes you want to linger a little longer. There was something quietly beautiful about the way they carried themselves, and even more so in the way they carried each other.

For Ian, Ella was home.

Not just the place he returns to, but the person he chooses, again and again. The one he wants beside him through the ordinary days, the beautiful ones, and all the days still waiting to unfold.

And while weddings often invite us to dream grand, Ella and Ian's celebration felt beautifully close to the heart.

Around 60 of their closest family and friends gathered beneath a beautiful mango tree, creating an intimate setting that felt personal as they imagined their wedding to be.

So we let the styling follow that feeling.

Peach, blush and creams softened the space, woven through fresh greens and garden-inspired florals. Long tables brought everyone closer together, lined with loose floral arrangements and the warm glow of candlelight. At the heart of it all stood a softly draped backdrop, framed by generous blooms and layers of fabric that moved gently with the evening air.

As evening came, the warm lights overhead settled naturally into the garden, adding just enough glow to the tables, the flowers, and the little moments happening around them.

The styling was full, but never overwhelming. The flowers made their presence felt, the tables were dressed beautifully, and the entire garden came together without taking away from what the gathering was really about.

Perhaps that is what we loved most about Ella and Ian's wedding.

It felt like them.
Warm, uncomplicated, and surrounded by the people closest to them.

And in the middle of all the flowers, the lights, the laughter, and the celebration was something far more beautiful than anything we could style:
A man choosing his woman as home.
And a woman choosing to build that home with him.

𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬 | 𝐏𝐉 + 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐄

For PJ and Anne, we went back to the classics.

Narrow pathways with petals scattered along the way. Abundant blooms in pinks and nudes. A ceiling of manipulated fabric, dangling florals, and crystals that brought back that old-world romance we have always loved.

It was floral in the best way: generous, romantic, and full of little details that made the whole setting feel like one complete picture.

Much of what we create these days leans toward structure: cleaner lines, defined forms, layered draping, and fabric. But there is something about the classics that still holds its place. Flowers everywhere. Soft colors. A ceiling that catches your eye. A room that feels dressed, not constructed.

We were happy to return to this kind of Reminiscque for PJ and Anne, a lovely and humble couple who gave us the freedom to revisit a style we have always enjoyed creating.

Some things are worth bringing back... Especially when they still look this good.

Having previously styled a wedding at the same location, we approached this project with a fresh perspective. Every design decision was made with the intention of creating an experience that felt completely different, from the ceremony on the lush grounds to the reception that welcomed their family and friends.

Planning the wedding happened almost entirely from a distance. With July serving in the Royal Canadian Navy and Ann working as a flight attendant abroad, every meeting, revision, and design discussion took place through messages and online calls. Despite living in different parts of the world, they remained closely involved throughout the process, making every decision with clarity.

One of the earliest conversations centered on how to approach the ceremony. Instead of overshadowing the landscape, the design worked with the natural beauty of the expansive green lawn, the design embraced it. Layers of synthetic and fresh white florals framed the aisle and ceremony space, allowing the landscape to become part of the celebration while creating an elegant setting for their vows.

The reception was where the transformation became even more apparent.

One design decision never changed. Instead of chandeliers, July and Ann envisioned a reception transformed by heavy layers of ceiling drapery. It was a choice that ultimately became the defining feature of the main hall.

More than 500 meters of layered off-white spandex stretched across the entire reception, extending into the side draperies and continuing through the welcome tunnel. The treatment softened the architecture of the venue and created a completely different atmosphere without relying on elaborate ceiling fixtures.

With the absence of chandeliers, lighting naturally became part of the overall design. Carefully programmed mood lighting shifted throughout the evening, complementing each chapter of the program and giving the reception a different character.

Long banquet tables dressed with all fresh floral centerpieces, candlelight, crystal accents, and refined table details completed the setting. Every element, from the welcome tunnel to the couple’s stage, was planned to work together as one continuous design rather than a collection of individual installations.

Every wedding leaves behind photographs.

This one leaves behind a venue that, for one evening, became almost unrecognizable. From the ceremony garden to a reception wrapped beneath flowing fabric, candlelight, fresh blooms, and evolving light, Maria’s Village Aquafarm revealed a side rarely seen by those who knew it.

That is what made this project memorable. It was never about creating a single focal point. It was about transforming an entire venue into an experience where every corner, every view, and every detail belonged to one complete celebration.

It was sometime last year when we first sat down with Doctors Bryan and Joan to talk about their wedding.

From that very first meeting, we knew this celebration would carry a strong sense of culture and heritage. Their vision embraced the richness of Chinese traditions, interpreted through vibrant colors, meaningful details, and a setting that celebrated every corner of the venue.

As the wedding day finally came this year, we found ourselves presented with a familiar yet exciting challenge.

How do you create another Chinese-Filipino wedding without simply repeating what has already been done?

The answer was not to move away from tradition, but to look at it differently.

Instead of leaning heavily on the usual reds, we allowed rich teals to take the spotlight, balanced with vibrant florals and generous layers of tropical foliage. The result was still full of life, but with a more polished and elevated character.

We also stepped away from the familiar rows of grasses often used to resemble rice paddies. Rather than recreating a scene we’ve all seen before, we transformed the space into a tropical installation that brought a fresh, current, and naturally connected atmosphere to the celebration. It was a gentle reminder that cultural inspiration can continue to evolve without losing its meaning.

Even the venue layout took a different direction. Rather than placing the dance floor at the center of the room, we brought it closer to the stage, allowing every performance and every special moment to take center stage.

Asian-inspired celebrations are never new to us. They have always been part of countless weddings and social events. Yet every opportunity reminds us that familiarity should never lead to repetition.

There is always another way to tell the story.
Another way to celebrate tradition.
Another way to see the same heritage through a fresh perspective.

And perhaps that’s what we love most about what we do. Every wedding gives us another chance to recreate, reimagine, and rediscover beauty, proving that even the most familiar themes can become something entirely their own.

When Not Just A Box introduced us to Vir and Tisha, we knew the conversation would be different. Coming from the fields of architecture and design, they already had a clear vision of how they wanted their wedding to look. Every line, every proportion, every material, and every finish had a purpose. They were not looking for someone to redefine their concept. They were looking for a team that could execute it with precision.

When they chose Reminiscque, we understood exactly what they were placing in our hands.

It was a reflection of what we have always believed in. A clean silhouette. Refined detailing. A design that remains relevant years from now because it is rooted in good design rather than passing trends.

Tisha’s vision was clear from the beginning.
Draperies with a light presence. A crystal chandelier positioned exactly where it belonged, suspended above the checkerboard parquet dance floor. Centerpieces that complemented the reception instead of competing with it. Architectural columns and staging that completed the overall composition.

One thing we often tell our clients is this.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
Fresh fabrics become an investment because every fold is visible. Every measurement matters. Every seam, every edge, and every finish is exposed. There is nothing to conceal imperfections, which is why precision becomes the foundation of the entire installation.

There is something both exciting and challenging about celebrating another milestone for the same family.

Just a few months ago, we had the privilege of styling the first wedding that welcomed 2026 for this family. This time, many of the guests seated around the reception had already experienced one of our designs. That meant this celebration had to feel completely its own.

For Kien and Tessa, we embraced a Contemporary Filipino-inspired aesthetic, drawing from the richness of local craftsmanship. Tropical blooms, solihiya textures, subtle Capiz shell details, and amber lighting came together in a way that felt fresh while staying rooted in Filipino design.

Rather than making every Filipino element the centerpiece, we allowed them to blend naturally into the overall composition. Solihiya became a subtle accent woven into the backdrop structures, capiz added warmth and texture, and the flowing ceiling installation softened the entire space, giving the reception a light and modern character.

The beauty of Filipino design is that it offers endless possibilities. With thoughtful changes in form, texture, scale, and composition, familiar elements can take on an entirely different character.

For a family that has welcomed us into more than one of their biggest celebrations, creating something that feels new every time is one of the greatest compliments we could ever receive.

What made Dr. Adrian and Glyza’s celebration especially memorable was not simply the setting, but the way it revealed a completely different character.

Only a day earlier, the venue had hosted another gathering. Yet when their wedding day arrived, the room carried an entirely new mood. Through a carefully planned back to back setup, champagne and cream took over, lending the evening a quieter, warmer disposition.

The shift felt almost like turning a page.

Above, lengths of fabric gathered and folded with remarkable depth, giving the room a sense of movement and texture. What had served one story the day before now welcomed another, proving that familiar surroundings can hold entirely different memories.

Perhaps that same quiet sensibility found its reflection in Glyza.

Her silhouette was uncomplicated, a reminder that beauty rarely depends on excess. Within the simplicity of her gown, elegance revealed itself naturally, with every line carrying an ease that needed no embellishment.

Beside her stood Dr. Adrian, whose humble demeanor spoke of sincerity and quiet conviction. His presence carried a steadiness that never sought recognition, yet left an impression all the same. There was a gentleness in the way he carried himself, a quality that made his character felt more than announced.
