A proud moment for the local ultra running community as Calumat Sports PAKUSGANAY Backyard Ultra takes the national spotlight! 🇵🇭🔥

The upcoming endurance event, set on June 27–28, 2026 in the salt beds of Alubijid, Misamis Oriental, was recently featured on PTV Sports Network, bringing the unique and grueling format of backyard ultra racing to a wider Filipino audience.
During the interview, Rhea Lastrilla Batac of Backyard Ultra Philippines highlighted not only the excitement of the PAKUSGANAY Backyard Ultra, but also the growing movement of backyard ultra racing across the country — a sport that tests not just speed, but resilience, strategy, and mental toughness.

This event marks a historic milestone as the first-ever Backyard Ultra in Northern Mindanao - Bayan Ng Alubijid, and it aims to be the spark that ignites the sport across the region—and ultimately the entire country.
