2ga Catering was established over 10 years ago as a small informal business to provide an alternative supply of catering to small Papua New Guineans especially those in East New Britain Province and particularly those in and around Kokopo town; although we have been cooking on a large scale for family, friends & customers for almost 13 years. The small business is legally registered with the IPA O

ffice. Our catering began as a hobby as we love to try out new cuisines; and by word of mouth advertising by friends and close acquaintance, we have catered for many private individuals and small to now big companies. We have proven ourselves to be as competitive as other established catering businesses in Kokopo. We help the local community by training & employing young people in cooking as the Head Chef is a certified Trade Assessor. We also run cooking Workshops for both Men & Women throughout the Province. We are grateful to all our past & present customers for supporting our small 100% PNG Owned business. Our business aims to help the local community in whichever way we can & we contribute our services to help the catering department of our local secondary school also.

I was the first SME baker in Kokopo in 2013 when I first opened a FB account to market my cakes. In 2016, I made my first Gurias cake. The last one I made was in 2018 until now. So this is my first Gurias cake made with the new logo.πŸ™‚

This one was ordered by a current team player and as usual he strolled across from the Gurias quarters to our place to pick the cake up, thinking it was a small cake, lol. We sent him back to look for a pick up vehicle.πŸ™‚

A small scale production of chocolate from Cocoa Board of Papua New Guinea's research center at Tavilo, Kerevat, Gazelle District.
The Tavilo research center, considered as the nerve center of cocoa farming in Papua New Guinea continues to carry out ground breaking researches into cocoa farming in the country, identifying the best cocoa variety, tolorent to the cocoa pod borer and produces high yields.
While discussions of downstream processing of cocoa is gaining momentum, the Cocoa Quality Section at Tavilo is only making sure the varieties supplied are best for the market.
