Today I had the absolute honour and privilege to be the Celebrant for a dear friends Celebration of Life.
Held at Harewood Memorial Gardens and Crematorium which is so tranquil and recently updated. The Matt and his team from Simplicity Funerals did an amazing job.
Jenni was a member of the Steampunk community, who came out in force in their outfits. Wow so much creativity. The Hats! all I can say is I am impressed with the work and details that go into creating these pieces of art. Jenni & David were very much part of that community and some of Jenni's treasures were on display.
It is always a poignant moment when you are invited by the family to create a service for their loved one and your friend. Creating the ceremony, learning things about Jenny I never knew and being able to support the family in this way was a blessing.
Fly that broomstick well my friend.
