Married to Kathy for 33 years this February. Together, we have 4 children and 2, grandchildren. I live and work in Whanganui where we have lived for over 10 years. This time!
My day job is Account and Specification Manager at Plymasters, located in Heads Road, Whanganui. My role covers Wellington right up to the Bay of Plenty including Katikati.
I love to meet new people from all walks of life and enjoy discussing all things about power tools and timber projects. My happy place among others is in the workshop on the weekends, tinkering with timber, working in the garden and some DIY renovations.
My first experience with a marriage celebrant was a lovely lady I met when I was just 17 years old as a junior cashier while working at LD Nathan in Wellingtons Cuba Mall. Her name was Joan English-Wyness. Joan used to rent a car park out the back of work and she let me move it when the trucks came in for large deliveries. Even though she knew I didn’t have a licence.
When I asked Kathy to marry me all those years ago it was a no brainer, and I asked Joan if she would be our celebrant. She immediately said yes, and we schedule our first session for her to get to know us as a couple.
She was casual and relaxed and offered us a choice of vows to choose from and when the day came, it couldn’t have gone better.
I’d love for you, to have that same experience as we did, cool, calm and collected. You never know what's going to happen on the day but knowing that I have the legal stuff covered will bring a sense of comfort to you both as you embark on this new and exciting adventure.
