BYO gloves, secateurs, or use mine.
BYO food, drink, music, chocolate dipped strawberries; its summer & its xmas.

Hello spring composters!
A reminder that there are two community composts in Aro Valley: a wonderful WCC-funded & community operated one near the top of Epuni St; and a guerrilla gardening “walking community only” one at the entrance to Holloway Rd.
No animal products please (flies, rodents); no garden weeds (fills the compost too quick!); the smaller the better (egg shells, bread etc); no plastic is helpful (labels, most tea bags, bags); keep it tidy, & close the lids (rodents)!

Hi composters and gardeners. With 2021 spring coming, we think about growing some healthy food. Composts often need turning, and their bounty distributed. I think we should have a festive spring event, to get things underway.

The compost at the community centre will be closed from today. It’s full. I’m having a break from donating so much time and materials to that compost. If anyone else makes a compost there - it has to be animal proof. I apologise to anyone bringing their compost there.

Come composting this Sunday. 1pm, 201 Aro St. Let’s tumble, turn, add browns, and maybe plant some lovely little garden beds. If you are a radical I’ll also be at 1 Holloway from late morning having fun. Weather gods depending.
