Honour Creative is looking for a Senior Interior Designer with a minimum of 7 years’ experience to join our Wellington studio.

This is a 10-month, fixed-term contract as parental leave cover, from June 2026.

We are a hard-working team who design with heart, focus on delivering environments that honour our clients, and believe professionalism and kindness are the backbone of great customer service and rewarding relationships.

If you have initiative, a great work ethic and an exceptional attention to detail, plus the following, please get in touch.

* 7+ years of relevant professional experience
* Sound technical knowledge and excellent drawing skills
* A strong background in high-end residential and/or commercial projects.
* Ability to draw from a variety of inspirations and apply your design talent to a range of unique styles, always blending the practical with the beautiful.
* Advanced proficiency in Vectorworks (essential)

In addition, being a New Zealand Registered Architect is highly desirable.

Curtains At My Place 🪟

No doubt more information on the subject than you thought possible. The depth of feeling and sense of achievement cannot be understated 😁 They went up just before Christmas and I still get a kick out of them.

Curtains:
🩵 frame the view,
🩵 manage the light,
🩵 soften a space AND
🩵 add character.

Here is how I feel about mine!

And yes, I take as much care with my clients’ homes as I do my own... I get a kick out of their joy of home too.

Life admin done and a moment to think. Imagine!

A small yet mighty area our clients often ask us to accommodate is some sort of desk space.

This might be a full home office, a WFH zone or, at its most minimal, a home admin centre (as in laptop, chargers, notices...).

We’ve done everything from converting a wardrobe, integrating a desk into living room joinery and creating an all-enveloping zen space for focus.

Here are some examples—a common need but a tailored response.

We understand what homes need to function smoothly, alongside looking great. I would argue that it’s not really beautiful if it doesn’t help you live well!

I’m all for multi-use spaces. We need them to accommodate all the ways we want to be in our homes over the course of a day.

Although 😁 sometimes a room just needs to be wholeheartedly what it is.

This room doesn’t have a great view, or loads of natural light, nor space. What it is great at doing though, is being cosy — with a friend after school, for a family movie or as a quiet space for a book.

The wallpaper and curtains are in a soft, warm pink. The sofa spans the room and invites you in with a plush, hardy (feet up!) fabric and loads of comfy cushions.

I’ve had an afternoon reviewing potential people to help me with my marketing. I have a backlog of joys to share! I just need help to get them out to you with my love and best wishes.

Contributing value along with the pretty has always been my intention.

That said, I am compelled to share these sun-soaked images of a comfy chair, that becomes the spare bed, in a home office because they are really pretty!

Maybe the value I can offer here is to show you what is possible in a small space, without compromising comfort or good looks.
