Today marks the final day of operation for Brackenridge Country Retreat & Spa. 💛

As we close this very special chapter, we simply want to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the Brackenridge story over the past 26 years — our wonderful guests, wedding couples, conference groups, retreat organisers, local community, suppliers, supporters and, of course, all the incredible staff who have helped make Brackenridge what it is.

A very special mention must go to Cathie Morison, whose vision and foresight 26 years ago created this truly special place for the Martinborough community. Thank you also to all the shareholders over the years for your contribution and for helping bring Cathie’s vision to life.

Looking ahead, keep an eye on this page for updates as the property will begin a new chapter under new ownership and managements. Brackenridge Spa will be closing for a few weeks for major renovations, while Brackenridge Studios will continue to be operated by Discover Wairarapa until early 2027. Brackenridge Estate will also continue to be available to book through Discover Wairarapa.

All accommodation will be able to be booked via www.brackenridge.co.nz.

The Function Centre and three cottages are still available for purchase. For any enquiries, please contact James at [email protected].

It has been an incredible journey, filled with so many special memories, celebrations, friendships and stories. We feel incredibly grateful to have been part of them all.

At the beginning of the month, we celebrated our final wedding couple here at Brackenridge. 💕

Congratulations, Dave and Nicole! The weather played ball, allowing us to hold the ceremony on the lawn one last time. What a beautiful wedding and such a special way to mark the end of an incredible chapter.

One Last Winter Escape ❄️🔥

Our final week of accommodation at Brackenridge is here, and if you’ve been thinking about a last-minute getaway, this is your final opportunity.

There’s snow on the hills and ranges around us, making Martinborough look wonderfully wintry — and our cosy cottages are the perfect place to retreat to afterwards, with open fires, warm spaces and plenty of room for friends to get together. 🔥

Spend the day exploring the Wairarapa, enjoy lunch at one of our wonderful local wineries, then come back to Brackenridge, light the fire and settle in for a relaxing evening.

We close our accommodation on Monday 24 August, so this really is the last chance to experience a winter stay at Brackenridge.

If you’ve been meaning to come one more time, now is the time. ❤️
